If you’ve been with me since the launch of my blog in February, you’ve learned a lot of tips, tricks, stories and inspiration on why Legit Loving yourself makes a HUGE difference in your transformation, your happiness, and ultimately, the legacy you’d like to leave in the World.
Some of what I’ve shared includes:
- techniques for releasing unwanted emotions,
- a few of my tried-and-true Me Time secrets,
- the endless lessons I learned about Legit Self Love in Peru,
- a peek into the parallels between our dreams and the insight the caterpillar and butterfly can provide to help us achieve them,
- and I even shared a recipe for a delicious healthy salad.
Today, I’m sharing a different kind of recipe with you.
The Foundation for Transformation
Legit Love for yourself doesn’t begin and end with emotion-based techniques. The foundation for Legit Self Love starts with a clean, healthy environment for your transformation to be activated and your dreams to flourish!
Barely a year ago, I learned of all the toxic chemicals that are lurking like ticking time bombs, hiding in our everyday products.
More on this in a future post.
But for now…check out this easy-peasy recipe for toxic-free tushie wipes!
Yep, you heard me right. A clean tush will give you an extra push (towards your transformation, that is!)
Legit Love yourself by ditching the icky chemicals that can alter your hormones and throw you off your transformational path to brilliance by making these simple, yummy smelling tushie wipes today.
They only take 5 minutes (if that!) and there are only 4 ingredients. Your behind will thank you 😉
Make Your Own Toxic-Free Tushie Wipes
1 roll of paper towels (chlorine free)
2 cups filtered hot water
10 drops Young Living lavender essential oil (you can order some from me by sending me a note on this page)
2 tablespoons organic coconut oil
Here’s how to do it:
Step 1 –
Use a really sharp knife to cut the roll of paper towels down the middle. This is the toughest step, so don’t worry, everything else is a breeze 🙂 Just keep sawing away.
Tip > I prefer to use a bread knife since it has great serration for cutting through the cardboard roll in the center.
Step 2 –
Place one of the half paper towel rolls in a glass container (I like glass because when you heat up plastic containers, chemicals can leak out into your wipes…no bueno). Make sure the cut side is placed down.
Tip > You can buy a glass container on Amazon like I did, or they also have them at other stores in the kitchen supplies area.
Step 3 –
Put a couple of tablespoons of coconut oil into the glass container with the paper towel roll. It’s okay if it sits on top of the paper towels. It’s going to melt away throughout all of the roll anyway.
Tip > I buy Trader Joe’s organic coconut oil which you can find next to the other cooking oils. I also use this coconut oil as body lotion 🙂 Feels sooooo good!
Add 10 drops of Young Living lavender essential oils to the glass container. You can add less drops if you prefer.
Tip > You can use another brand of essential oils but I don’t recommend it. Young Living is the highest quality with no fillers and is food grade, which means you can ingest it! I can help you buy your own Young Living oils, just send me a note from my Contact Page.
Step 5 –
Boil 2 cups of filtered water. I use my electric teapot. Then, pour the hot water directly over the paper towels making sure you melt the coconut oil and soak the entire roll.
Step 6 –
Put the lid on your glass container and turn the container upside down for a few seconds to allow the water, essential oils and coconut oil to distribute throughout.
Step 7 –
After you let the water sit for a couple minutes, pull out the cardboard roll from the middle of your paper towels. Then, place your container of toxic-free tushie wipes next to the toilet for easy access!
Tip > You can also use these wipes on your face or hands. I like to use them on my dirty feet at the end of the day before I hop into bed sometimes.
